Moving a working repair counter takes more than comparing a feature list. Start with the parts of your day that create extra work: checking in a phone, locating a part, getting approval and closing the invoice.
RepairDesk publishes repair workflows, inventory, POS, communications and multi-location capabilities, with plan pricing expressed per store. Read RepairDesk’s official page.
Compare the total for your actual stores and staff. RepairHQ publishes monthly pricing per business with included location and active-staff limits. That difference is a useful budgeting question, but it does not establish that the products have identical features or costs.
Published by RepairHQ. RepairDesk is a separate business; this is not an independent review or a claim of affiliation. Competitor offerings can change after the review date.
Three things to prove in your trial
Use sample data and your own test contacts. These are evaluation exercises, not measured customer outcomes.
CHECK 1
Follow one screen repair through the counter
In a trial workspace, create a sample phone repair with model, condition and accessories. Prepare a parts-and-labor estimate, review the approval workflow and create the pickup invoice.
What to check: Check that the technician and counter staff can find the same approved scope, notes and charges without re-entering the repair.
CHECK 2
Find the part at the right store
Create sample stock at two locations and reserve the needed part for a repair. Review the inventory and purchasing views with the permissions each employee will use.
What to check: Write down whether your team can distinguish available stock, reserved stock and items still on order. Do not assume supplier feeds are connected merely because purchasing exists.
CHECK 3
Reconcile the day before choosing a cutover
Compare a sample invoice, its recorded collection and the location report. Keep any imported historical invoices separate from new operating activity.
What to check: Confirm the report period, store, tax and payment totals. Archived history should not become a second live sale or a new card charge.
Know the RepairHQ subscription scope.
Starter
US$49/month per business
1 location · 5 active staff
Growth
US$99/month per business
3 locations · 15 active staff
Scale
US$199/month per business
10 locations · 50 active staff
Every new trial starts with 14 days of Growth. Payment processing, hardware, provider services and enabled add-ons can have separate charges. Confirm current terms and your required features before subscribing.
Export and retain your RepairDesk records before changing access. Identify customers, inventory, open tickets, invoices and payments as separate datasets.
Review the RepairDesk migration workflow with a small sample. Reconcile row counts, customer matches, tax and balances before approving a larger import.
Confirm which records remain an archive and which become active RepairHQ records. A payment-history import is not a transfer of card credentials or merchant accounts.
Will everything from RepairDesk transfer automatically?
Do not assume that. RepairHQ has RepairDesk migration and historical-record workflows, but the result depends on your export or API access and the supported record types. Confirm attachments, open balances, customer matching and history separately before retiring your old system.
Country, currency and payments need a separate fit check.
The current workspace is in English with USD shop accounting. Eligible local-currency subscription payments do not change the currency of your shop’s invoices or reports. Payment processors, terminals and messaging have their own availability and setup requirements.
