Considering a SpotsPOS / Repair Spots alternative?
Repair Spots currently directs visitors to SpotsPOS. If you are evaluating alternatives, compare the complete counter workflow on the devices your staff will use, from intake details to a saved approval and final invoice.
SpotsPOS presents mobile-first repair and retail POS with guided intake, inventory, employee tools, payments and AI assistance. The Repair Spots website redirects to this site. Read SpotsPOS / Repair Spots’s official page.
RepairHQ provides a browser-based workspace for repair records, checkout and location inventory. Check the experience on your own tablet or desktop and verify printer and terminal compatibility. A responsive browser interface does not establish a native mobile app or offline operation.
Published by RepairHQ. SpotsPOS / Repair Spots is a separate business; this is not an independent review or a claim of affiliation. Competitor offerings can change after the review date.
Three things to prove in your trial
Use sample data and your own test contacts. These are evaluation exercises, not measured customer outcomes.
CHECK 1
Complete intake on your counter device
Use a sample device, customer and repair issue on your tablet or desktop. Review required fields and the resulting ticket before repeating the exercise with another employee.
What to check: Measure your own completion time and error rate. Demonstration timings from either vendor are not a substitute for your trial.
CHECK 2
Confirm that an approval was saved
Use your own test customer to complete the supported approval workflow, then reopen the repair record and inspect the recorded decision.
What to check: Check the saved status and available signature or approval evidence, not just the confirmation shown during the interaction.
CHECK 3
Check the full hardware path
List the exact printer, scanner, terminal, operating system and browser at each register. Test the appropriate supported setup.
What to check: A working screen does not guarantee printing or payment compatibility. Confirm those dependencies before moving your counter.

Does RepairHQ work offline like an installed POS?
Do not assume offline checkout or native-app parity. RepairHQ is a web workspace. Test your browser, connectivity and supported hardware before selecting it for your counter.
Country, currency and payments need a separate fit check.
The current workspace is in English with USD shop accounting. Eligible local-currency subscription payments do not change the currency of your shop’s invoices or reports. Payment processors, terminals and messaging have their own availability and setup requirements.
