Imports & records

Review an imported catalog before publishing stock

Verify the destination store, part identity, quantity and price.

Review each candidate

  1. Open Inventory → Review imported RepairDesk catalog when imported records are available.
  2. Confirm the source store and compare the item’s source identifier, SKU, category and variant.
  3. Review the destination’s actual quantity, cost and retail price. Investigate missing prices or incomplete serialized details.
  4. Publish only reviewed opening stock through the available action, then reconcile the resulting stock records and movements.

Avoid overwriting live work

A descriptive product export from another location should not overwrite the destination’s quantity or price. Existing live SKUs require careful review.

Repeated source records and changed import hashes are handled differently. Use the original import receipt and review tools rather than repeatedly uploading a file to force a result.

About this AI guide & voice

AI answers can make mistakes. Messages are processed by OpenAI, or a configured Gemini or xAI Grok backup if a provider is unavailable. Voice clips you choose to record are processed only by OpenAI. Voice becomes an editable draft before you send your question. RepairHQ does not save this chat or recordings to its database; refreshing clears the page’s conversation. The processing provider’s retention policies may apply. Please leave out passwords, payment details and customer records. This guide cannot access or change your shop.

Typing works without microphone access. The microphone runs only while you record. Questions and recordings have usage limits.
