Getting started

Choose your business, store and default location

Make sure you are working in the right shop before creating records.

Select your working location

  1. Use the business selector at the top of the workspace to choose the business you want to work in.
  2. Choose the store in the Location selector. All locations gives a combined view where supported; choose one location for store-specific work.
  3. On a personal signed-in account, select Use as my default beside the chosen location when that option appears.
  4. Check the selected store again before starting intake, receiving stock or preparing an invoice.

If a store is missing

Your role and store assignments determine which locations you can open. Ask an owner or administrator to review Employees & stores if you cannot see an expected location.

A default location is a navigation preference. It does not move existing customer records, repairs, stock or payment connections between stores. Shared register sessions may not offer the personal default shortcut.

About this AI guide & voice

AI answers can make mistakes. Messages are processed by OpenAI, or a configured Gemini or xAI Grok backup if a provider is unavailable. Voice clips you choose to record are processed only by OpenAI. Voice becomes an editable draft before you send your question. RepairHQ does not save this chat or recordings to its database; refreshing clears the page’s conversation. The processing provider’s retention policies may apply. Please leave out passwords, payment details and customer records. This guide cannot access or change your shop.

Typing works without microphone access. The microphone runs only while you record. Questions and recordings have usage limits.
