Staff & time clock

Clock in, take a break and clock out

Record time from the dashboard or Time clock & payroll.

Record the right action

  1. Open the dashboard time clock or Shop settings → Time clock & payroll.
  2. For Employee PIN clock, choose your name and store, then enter your own four-digit PIN.
  3. Select Clock in, lunch/unpaid break, paid break, return or Clock out as appropriate for the actual event.
  4. Check the resulting state before selecting another action.

PIN clock and sign-in are different

A coworker can use the authorized PIN clock on a signed-in staff screen without becoming that person’s active register account. The PIN is cleared after the request.

Repeated incorrect PIN entries can trigger a temporary lockout. Ask an authorized manager to review your PIN or access rather than using another employee’s PIN.

About this AI guide & voice

AI answers can make mistakes. Messages are processed by OpenAI, or a configured Gemini or xAI Grok backup if a provider is unavailable. Voice clips you choose to record are processed only by OpenAI. Voice becomes an editable draft before you send your question. RepairHQ does not save this chat or recordings to its database; refreshing clears the page’s conversation. The processing provider’s retention policies may apply. Please leave out passwords, payment details and customer records. This guide cannot access or change your shop.

Typing works without microphone access. The microphone runs only while you record. Questions and recordings have usage limits.
