Repairs & intake

Create a repair ticket

Capture the customer, item, issue and estimate in one intake.

Complete the intake

  1. Choose the correct location and select New repair. Find the existing customer or add the customer you need.
  2. Use Category → Brand → Model → Issue for saved catalog entries, or enter the item manually.
  3. Review the reported problem, serial or identifying information, condition, due date and relevant intake checks.
  4. Use the parts/services finder to prepare the quote. Review quantities, prices and customer authorization before saving.

After saving

Use the saved confirmation to open the repair or print its label. If terminal signing fails after the ticket saves, continue from that saved ticket; starting another intake can create an unnecessary second repair.

Catalog prices and available stock belong to the selected location. Check the actual part and the estimate, especially when adapting a catalog service to a different model or issue.

About this AI guide & voice

AI answers can make mistakes. Messages are processed by OpenAI, or a configured Gemini or xAI Grok backup if a provider is unavailable. Voice clips you choose to record are processed only by OpenAI. Voice becomes an editable draft before you send your question. RepairHQ does not save this chat or recordings to its database; refreshing clears the page’s conversation. The processing provider’s retention policies may apply. Please leave out passwords, payment details and customer records. This guide cannot access or change your shop.

Typing works without microphone access. The microphone runs only while you record. Questions and recordings have usage limits.
