Customers & estimates

Share the right customer or repair link

Give a customer access to the record intended for them.

Review before sharing

  1. Open the intended customer, repair or estimate in its original store.
  2. Use the available portal, tracking or approval link action for that record.
  3. Check the customer’s identity, contact information and the purpose of the link.
  4. Share it through the approved channel and explain whether it is for tracking, reviewing an estimate or another available action.

Keep access specific

Treat customer links as private. A public tracking link and an employee’s signed-in workspace link serve different purposes.

A cross-store identity review does not broaden the customer’s portal access. If a link is not working, confirm its record and store rather than sending a different customer’s link or a staff credential.

About this AI guide & voice

AI answers can make mistakes. Messages are processed by OpenAI, or a configured Gemini or xAI Grok backup if a provider is unavailable. Voice clips you choose to record are processed only by OpenAI. Voice becomes an editable draft before you send your question. RepairHQ does not save this chat or recordings to its database; refreshing clears the page’s conversation. The processing provider’s retention policies may apply. Please leave out passwords, payment details and customer records. This guide cannot access or change your shop.

Typing works without microphone access. The microphone runs only while you record. Questions and recordings have usage limits.
