Customers & estimates

Use a customer’s profile and repair history

Find the customer before creating another record.

Start with search

  1. Open Customers → Customer directory in the correct location.
  2. Search the customer’s name, phone or email and compare the matching records.
  3. Open the profile to review contact details, native repairs and invoices, and imported history when linked.
  4. Check the recorded communication preferences before preparing a message or follow-up.

Customers at more than one store

Authorized managers can review Customer records at other stores and confirm an identity link with evidence. A matching email or phone does not create a link automatically.

Linked records keep their own store history, balances, permissions and portal access. A reviewed relationship is not a merge of money or customer consent across stores.

About this AI guide & voice

AI answers can make mistakes. Messages are processed by OpenAI, or a configured Gemini or xAI Grok backup if a provider is unavailable. Voice clips you choose to record are processed only by OpenAI. Voice becomes an editable draft before you send your question. RepairHQ does not save this chat or recordings to its database; refreshing clears the page’s conversation. The processing provider’s retention policies may apply. Please leave out passwords, payment details and customer records. This guide cannot access or change your shop.

Typing works without microphone access. The microphone runs only while you record. Questions and recordings have usage limits.
